The Why
What started as a late-night joke about buying a sailboat and chasing a nomadic life quickly evolved into something far greater than we ever imagined. That dream of freedom and adventure didn’t fade — it transformed. Our “sailboat” became the islands of Fiji, and our “nomadic lifestyle” became a mission: to share our love for the ocean and SCUBA diving by developing the next generation of dive professionals.
Every course we teach, every diver we train, and every reef we explore is part of a bigger purpose — building a life anchored in the sea, sustained by passion, and shared with others who feel the same pull toward the water. This is more than a career. It’s the realization of a dream that started as a spark and grew into a way of life.
The What
At MAD Divers Academy, diving isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. Founded by Kacy and Sean Madigan, we’re an international, fully mobile SDI Instructor Development Center with roots in the U.S. dive community. We’ve built lasting relationships with dive shops and students across the States and Australia, and now we’re searching for the next step, a resort in Fiji to call home. A place where we can share the magic of the ocean, host professional trainings, and create unforgettable dive trips for our extended dive family.
We bring more than certifications to the table. Between us, we blend a love for teaching and exploration with hands-on experience in marketing, content creation, photography, bookkeeping, and business development. We understand both sides of the dive industry, the beauty of the experience and the business that keeps it afloat. Alongside our expertise, we’re bringing a meaningful financial investment and access to trusted partners who believe in our long-term vision.
Whether it’s joining forces with an existing resort or stepping fully into ownership, our goal is the same: to build something lasting, sustainable, and extraordinary, a home base where people come for the diving but leave transformed through soul nourishing experiences.

The Who
Kacy -
Kacy Madigan is the strategic and intuitive force behind the team. A natural planner whose balance of scientific precision and entrepreneurial insight has shaped every step of the journey to Fiji. With a background in chemistry and entrepreneurship, Kacy brings both analytical depth and creative foresight to building sustainable, people-centered ventures.
As a Scuba Diving International (SDI) Course Director, she leads the Instructor Development Curriculum (IDC) with a focus on empowerment, safety, and mastery. Her teaching style blends technical rigor with emotional intelligence, guiding divers not just to earn certifications, but to grow into confident ocean ambassadors.
It was Kacy’s instinct, curiosity, and vision that set the course for this business, following an inner call toward the ocean and a life of purpose in Fiji. Today, she channels that same intuitive leadership into developing the academy’s training programs, guest experience design, and long-term community partnerships.
Driven by both heart and intellect, Kacy embodies the harmony of science, structure, and spirit, the foundation on which this entire venture was built.

Sean -
Sean Madigan is a multidisciplinary professional who blends financial precision with creative storytelling and ocean exploration. With a background in finance, bookkeeping, and investment structuring, Sean brings clarity and strategy to complex ventures, from business planning and capital allocation to long-term growth design.
Beyond the numbers, he’s a passionate content creator and drone pilot, using aerial and underwater video to bring brands and destinations to life. His marketing work captures the spirit of adventure, authenticity, and human connection, helping businesses translate their mission into meaningful visual stories.
An Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSDI) and certified technical diver, Sean has logged hundreds of hours beneath the surface and is currently pursuing his freediver instructor certification. His approach to both business and diving is the same: calm under pressure, focused on mastery, and driven by curiosity.
Whether building financial frameworks, leading dive training, or capturing cinematic moments above and below the waterline, Sean combines discipline, creativity, and purpose to bring bold ideas to life.
